Tapathon is a nationwide tap dancing event produced by The Performers Project in support of BBC Children in Need. Tap enthusiasts of all ages and tap dancing abilities come together to perform the choreographed routines at the same time, on the same day. Every year, Tapathon is entered to break the record for the largest number of people performing the same tap routine at multiple venues, simultaneously. The current Record stands at 7,596 persons.
